MRI Software, LLC is a provider of real estate and investment management software to real estate owners, investors, and operators. The company was founded in 1971 under the name Management Reports Incorporated and was later known as Management Reports International and, once acquired by Intuit in 2002, Intuit Real Estate Solutions (IRES). In 2009, the private equity firm based in San Francisco, Vista Equity Partners, acquired IRES and renamed the company MRI Software. In 2015, MRI Software was acquired by GI Partners. MRI's software has been installed over 4,500 times in five continents and in 41 countries.
MRI Software is headquartered in Solon, Ohio with additional offices in North Sydney, Australia; London, UK; Hong Kong; Singapore, and Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Mergers and Acquisitions
During 2011, MRI Software acquired building operations company Workspeed, the affordable-housing company Bostonpost, and the apartment marketing and leasing company VaultWare (formerly Realty Data Trust).
In 2015, MRI Software acquired Cougar Software of Toronto. In June 2016, MRI Software acquired Integratec, a real estate investment management and reporting software and services provider based in Atlanta, Georgia. In October 2016, the company acquired CallMaX, a Kennesaw, Georgia-based provider of call, voice, and digital communications solutions for the multifamily industry. In February 2017, MRI Software acquired ResidentCheck, a Dallas-based provider of resident screening for the multifamily real estate industry.
